Counter-Hegemony

A counter cultural strategy to cultural domination via alliance building and 'good sense'. Climb through the cracks of hegemonic story crisis

Neoliberalism

A worldview that promotes the idea that the financial market will best serve people and that the state governments role is to serve market interests. Top down, hierarchical. Competition, individualism, survival of the fittest

Banking concept of knowledge

The concept of education in which “knowledge is a gift bestowed by those who consider themselves knowledgeable upon those whom they consider to know nothing”.

Cultural Hegemony

A theory of Power.
Rule through cultural domination via 'common sense' stories and alliance building
by the ruling class to shape the culture of that society—the beliefs and explanations, perceptions, values, and mores —so that the worldview of the ruling class becomes the accepted cultural norm.

Emancipatory Field

Practices which seek to transform the working and living conditions of everyone through systems change
